Notes Cartel explicativo: "Im frühen Mitterlalter läuteten kleine Glocken vor allem in den Dachreitern der Klöster. Seit dem 10 Jh. entstanden hohe, zum Tragen grösserer Glocken errichtete Türme. Der Klang der Glocken war fortan weit fortan weit zu hören."
"In the early Middle Ages small bells rang out above all in the roof turrets of the monasteries. In the 10th century high towers began being built to support large bells. After that the bells could be heard from afar."

Notes Cartel explicativo: "Glocken gaben nicht nur die stündlichen Zeitsignale, sondern waren ein Kommunikationsmittel. Sie riefen zu Gottesdienst und Versammlung, gaben Totengeleit und Alarm in Notzeiten, bei Feuer oder Krieg, dienten der Abwehr von Unwettern."
"Bells not only signalled the time, but were a means of communication. They summoned people to church, paid last respects to the dead and gave alarm in times of need, fire or war, served to ward off thunderstorms."
